The 'SS' Type which was introduced in 1970 and ran until 1971 was essentially similar to the 'S' Type but had high level exhausts on each side rather than on the left hand side only. The INOA Tech Digest states that the 'SS' Types fell within the range of Engine Nos. from 145234 and 150723.
